ILLNESS POLICY:
If your child comes to school when he/she is not feeling well, he/she will be more vulnarable to infections. It is in the best interest of your child and of other students at the Preschool that your child rests at home when he/she is ill.
* A child needs to feel good in order to participate actively in the program.
* If a child has recovered enough to come to school, we expect him/her to participate in outdoor activities with the class.
* If the school contats you concerning your child’s condition (that he/she is not feeling well) please cooperate by picking up your child as required. We will not call unless we deem that your child needs homerest.
* In case of any absence exceeding 2 days a brief notice will be much appreciated. In case of contagious illnesses, please notify school as soon as possible to allow us detect similar symptoms in other children and prevent multiple infections.
* Teachers are not allowed to administer any medication (including prescribed drugs) in order to avoid any liability.
PICK-UP POLICY:
Please inform the office in case someone other than guardian(s) designated in the registry form will come to pick your child up from school.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES:
You can bring birthday cakes and/or snacks for your child on your child’s birthday. Our teachers will decorate the class and prepare a birthday crown for your child. He/she will wear the “Birthday Pin” and will be the line leader on his/her birthday. Please inform the teacher before the day of the party.
TOYS:
We highly discourage children from bringing their own toys to school as there is the risk that they might get lost among the school toys or can be damaged accidentally by other children. However they will be allowed to bring toys and share them with their friends for the “Show and Tell” day.
EXTRA FOOD OR CANDIES:
Chewing gums are not allowed at school. No extra food or sweets are allowed unless the teacher is informed and it‘s for the entire class as a snack.
INDOOR SHOES AND EXTRA CLOTHES:
Please send a spare pair of shoes that your child can easily put on and take off without teachers’ assistance. For safety reasons sandals, flip-flops or jellies should not be worn at school. Please make sure that your child’s spare clothes at school are also seasonable and labeled.
TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation to and from school is provided by two school buses. Each seat has a seat belt and there is a service monitor in each vehicle. The buses have Vehicle Tracking Systems and parents are given the passwords for tracking purposes.
LUNCH & SNACKS:
Healthy and nutritious lunch and two homemade snacks are arranged by BILINTUR CATERING. Menus prepared by the company’s food engineers and are announced every month.
FIELD TRIPS:
In line with the theme of the month, each month one or two field trips are organized and schedules are announced. School buses are used for transportation.
